This before and after picture was of a kitchen floor in Jackson NJ in the Four Seasons adult community. The home had been sold to a new resident and understandably they wanted to have their bathroom and kitchen floor grout cleaned professionally and made to look brand new. No one likes moving in to a new house and feel like they are living in someone else’s house and have someone else’s dirt. Although over time grout can get dirty even in the cleanest of homes people can tolerate their own dirt much more than someone else’s dirt. Naturally we get a lot of phone calls from people that have recently purchased a home and want their tile and grout professionally cleaned for aesthetic and sanitary reasons. Bathroom and shower grout and caulk is definitely a common repair. Although lighter tile like white ceramic tile with white grout is most noticeable when dirty or stained even medium and darker colors can look dirty and inconsistent from staining as well.
Kitchen floor tile and grout is another common area that has high traffic. Spills are especially frequent in front of the refrigerator and stove. Many times a kitchen may look spotless except one stubborn spot of grout that was permanently stained by coffee. Although sometimes it is impossible to clean it and restore the original grout color, we offer the option to restain the grout color to restore the exact original appearance. This option sets us apart from many companies that offer grout cleaning as an add on to their other services like carpet cleaning. I cannot tell you how many times I have seen tile floors that were “steam cleaned” and looked horrible. Each time the homeowner related to me that they were told it would not get any cleaner than that. We never leave a floor with that response ! We may need to use a different cleaning method or stain or replace the grout but we always can guarantee brand new looking tile floors when we are done.
